[Idea]: Client Traffic Analytics in inSSIDer

This is the discussion topic for:

Client Traffic Analytics in inSSIDer

What if inSSIDer could see all the WiFi clients? What if inSSIDer could identify the bandwidth hogs, show actual data rates used by clients, and locate clients by signal strength? Real-Time Packet Analytics in inSSIDer would provide:

  • Airtime usage by network
  • Airtime usage by client
  • Client capabilities (spatial streams, channel width, MCS index, etc)
  • Client data rates
  • Locate WiFi client or access point

Is inSSIDer for Linux on the roadmap? Many of us use Linux for the superior utilities available for networks both wired and wifi as well as penetration testing and validations. It would be much more useful to perform all these activities in a single platform - Linux. It’s where the Pros live.

Thanks for your question! inSSIDer for Linux isn’t currently on the roadmap. We appreciate this feedback though; it’s very useful to have this context as we consider inSSIDer improvements.

Thanks for the reply! Just be aware however that it will be hard
for you to be taken seriously as a company if you confine yourself
to Windows. It really does speak volumes.

Happy New year!
