On 2.4GHz, if someone uses non-overlapping channels (anything outside 1, 6, 11) and 40MHz, there’s nothing much you can do except to go 5GHz. Or you can approach the owner of that network and tell him/her to use 1, 6, or 11 and 20MHz only.
