[How-To Geek] Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6

This is a good article that explains what Wi-Fi 6E is and how it is different from Wi-Fi 6.

tl;dr
Wi-Fi 6E is basically Wi-Fi in 6 GHz band, as opposed to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.
Wi-Fi 6 is the next generation Wi-Fi standard after 802.11ac and was formerly known as 802.11ax.

6 GHz!!! Whoa. Soon we’ll be installing “triple-band WiFi”…

Hi Ryan,

We finally have Wi-FI6E APs (Cisco 9136) and clients (Intel AX210 & 411). Is Wi-Fi 6E on the roadmap for Metageek products? Which is the best product set for the 6 GHz band?

Many thanks

Darren
