Network Graph's 5GHz area not showing channel activity

I have just upgraded to version 5.3.22.0 and I am not seeing any active channels in the 5GHz band (see screen print)

The Laptop running inSSIDer is connected to my local network via the 5GHz band and I have View set to “2.4 & 5 GHz”. You can see from the Details that I am connected to Channel 155 [149], but nothing is showing on the graph.
Any ideas for me to try to resolve this? I would swear that this feature worked in previous versions of inSSIDer.

Regards, Mike

This problem has resolved itself. Without changing anything, the 5GHz band is now displaying graphics, as it should. Very weird, but I am happy that it has resolved.

I just signed up and installed InSSider 5.4.0, I am also only seeing the 2.4 GHz networks, nothing on the 5GHz column

Hello FPINEDA,

It appears that your Qualcomm Atheros adapter in your laptop only supports the 2.4 GHz band, meaning it can only scan the 2.4 GHz band. I recommend grabbing a dual band external adapter, such as the Edimax EW-7833UAC AC1750 here since it supports 3x3 spatial streams.

Hey Casey,

thank you for the reply, I am aware the wifi card I have is only 2.4, I guess I was under the assumption the inSSider app would pick up both 2.4 and 5 GHz signals automatically. Thank you for the info
