Why Does inSSIDer peak at -50 dBm? I am trying to locate an AP and capping at -50 is not allowing me to “home in” on the AP - thanks!

Hmm, it sounds like this may be an issue with your adapter… Can you confirm that you are not associated / connected to the AP with the adapter so we can rule out any band-steering mechanisms?

If that’s not it, I recommend grabbing a separate external adapter for a “second opinion”, such as the Edimax EW-7833UAC AC1750 here and see if you observe the same issue.
