Access Point name INSSIDER Agent

Hi,
In InSSIder Agent there is a field called AccesPoint.
Sometimes I see the MacAdress and sometimes the AccessPoint name.

The MacAdress appears with Cisco Meraki AP’s (MR-33) and TP-link AP’s.
The accespoint name appears with Cisco Classic AP’s.

Do you know how to change the Macadress to the AP name?

Regards,
Edward

Hi @eg1! inSSIDer Agent will use the MAC Address if it can’t find a better name for the access points. If you have inSSIDer and have created AP aliases, inSSIDer Agent will use those, as well as broadcast names from Cisco, Aerohive and Mist access points.
The ability to name access points in inSSIDer Agent will be coming soon

Hi is there a way to upload AP Names with matching MAC Addresses? I have a customer site to go on that we have installed 118 access points. They are labeled with friendly names like AP-101-AP219. As I drive around the warehouse I can look up and see the label with the friendly name however I have to cross reference the MAC address for this name. It would be nice for me to pre-upload the MAC/Friendly name in inSSIDer to see this as I roam around testing.
