BSOD with inSSIDer Pro/ Edimax EW-7833UAC AC1750 adapter

Hi guys,

I’ve now had two instances of BSODs using inSSIDer Pro with the Edimax EW-7833UAC WiFi adapter. I’ve had my laptop (Lenovo T480s) for two years with no previous BSODs. If I recall it seems to occur when inSSIDer is just starting up after inserting the adapter. Bug Check Code: 0x1000007e. I’ve also updated the driver on the Edimax EW-7833UAC. Let me know if you guys would look at the dumps or have an idea what might be causing the issue. If it helps I’m running Windows 10 Pro 1909. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the trouble! I have also experienced the BSOD a time or two but only in a VM. If you can, please send over any event logs or dumps to support@metageek.com so we can take a closer look.

Will do. I just checked and the dump file is a HUGE 1.98 GB. When I get a chance I’ll upload it to Dropbox and send an email to Support with a link to download.
