CBRS is an acronym for Citizens Broadband Radio Service, and is a swath of spectrum (3.5 GHz to 3.7 GHz) that has been freed up by the FCC. It’s been dubbed the “innovation band” and will be shared among incumbent users (like satellite ground stations and the Navy), priority licensees (licenses will be auctioned off in June 2020) and generally authorized (which means unlicensed and free to use, like the 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi bands).
