Our friend Adrian Granados over at Intuitibits made an exciting announcement today: multi-channel packet captures from multiple Linux devices using Airtool 2 for macOS! Up until fairly recently, Airtool’s primary function was to make packet captures in macOS super easy; it runs in the Menu Bar, so a PCAP from your Mac’s Wi-Fi adapter is only a couple of clicks away at any time.
One of Airtool 2’s improvements is remote PCAP from a Linux device such as the WLAN Pi. Today’s new announcement adds the ability to capture from multiple Linux devices at the same time. The possibilities are very exciting, especially when it comes to capturing on multiple channels at a time to capture things like roaming events.
