Wi-Fi 6 has already brought some great improvements in Wi-Fi over the past year. The great news is that there is already a plan for Wi-Fi 7 (which will correspond to the 802.11be amendment). According to this article, “Wi-Fi 7 is expected to have higher data rates and lower latency than Wi-Fi 6”. Wi-Fi 7 is going to include a 320 MHz wide channel in the 6GHz band which will have a max data rate of 46 Gbps!
46 Gbps?! Even if we only see a fraction of that in throughput… that’s still crazy! Also, anyone else see opportunities for bees in marketing materials and stuff?
